What To Bring

1. Your sponsor money (pledges) sealed in your completed Collection Envelope: EVERY walker must turn this envelope in at Check-in. This is JDRF's way of accurately tracking team and individual totals (number of walkers and dollars raised). If you have not received an envelope from your Team Captain, or if you are an individual walker, envelopes will be available at Check-in.

Please note:
  • Checks need to be payable to: JDRF
  • All walkers turning in $100 or more will receive a JDRF Walk T-shirt.
  • Please write walker and team name on all checks turned in.

2. Wear comfortable walking shoes!

3. Sunscreen or umbrella: We walk rain or shine!

4. And, if youÍre walking on a team wear your team T-shirt!

When You Arrive

1. Proceed to Check-in and turn in your Registration & Collection Envelope: Signage and volunteer direction will be provided to assist you in locating Check-in. Please keep the following in mind when completing your envelope:

  • A home address is preferred in order to expedite the delivery of JDRF Walk prizes. No P.O. boxes.
  • Don't forget to include your team name and team captain name.
  • An envelope must be completed for each Walker. Walkers are asked NOT to combine funds into one envelope.
  • Any walker not completing the waiver online MUST sign waiver at bottom of envelope ? all walkers must complete this either online or walk day (and guardians for all walkers under 18 years.)

2. If you raised $100+, pick up your JDRF Walk T-shirt at the T-Shirt Tent: You will receive a t-shirt ticket for your shirt when you turn in your pledges at Check-in. Youth and adult sizes are available

3. Find your teammates and grab a bite to eat before the Walk begins.

4. Enjoy the entertainment: WeÍll have music, warm-up exercises, and special attractions for all ages; everyone can have fun with the clowns, visit a face-painter, or one of the many vendor tables. WeÍre even planning hula hoop fun!

FOOD AND REFRESHMENTS

Juice, coffee, bagels and other breakfast items will be waiting for you when you arrive. Along the route there will be fruit, water, glucose tablets, and Starbucks coffee at the halfway point. After the Walk there will be snacks and plenty of water and soda. Feel free to bring a picnic and relax in the park and enjoy the activities and company of other Walkers.
