Resources

Come Visit Our Lending Library. It is a Great Information Resource.
Every day JDRF receives calls from people affected by diabetes requesting information. Designed to be a resource center that covers all diabetes related subjects, the new library includes books, brochures and pamphlets, CD-ROMs, and videotapes.

Individuals affected by diabetes helped select materials for the library.

Books in the library cover subjects that include emotional issues, teenagers and diabetes, children and diabetes, gestational diabetes, women and diabetes, men and diabetes, meal requirements, cookbooks, Type II diabetes, health issues and complications, minorities and diabetes, and exercise. The library also has a resource section that has brochures and pamphlets on working with schools, legislators, medical supply resources, and local support groups and endocrinologists. Many of the brochures are available in English and Spanish. Videos and interactive games are also available and may be viewed on the new TV/VCR and computer donated by SONY.
